Marisa Edmonston, BA
My name is Marisa Edmonston. I am currently a student at the University of Oklahoma, finishing up my Master's in Clinical Mental Health. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology from the University of Arizona.
Throughout my education, as well as my own personal lived experiences, I have learned many helpful tools and techniques that I'm looking forward to sharing with clients while hopefully highlighting their skills and strengthen their ability to navigate trauma. I know that the therapeutic process is a journey and that it’s not always quick and easy. I am here to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental setting in which you can begin to work through your specific challenges towards the better, healthier life that you envision.

I'm honored to have the opportunity to meet and work with clients on their healing journey. If you're struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, self-esteem issues, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, neurodiversity, or career concerns, I'm here to help! I work with adults and adolescents from all backgrounds and value differing perspectives and beliefs.
My clinical approach encompasses many different evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed care. I enjoy helping clients to reframe the negative core beliefs about themselves and the world. My goal is to create a genuine, trusting connection for you to feel safe in expressing your most inner vulnerabilities and working toward creating positive change in your life.
