FAQs
When you are starting therapy, there can be lots of questions. From practical questions to emotionally-based concerns, it's important to feel comfortable with your choice of therapist.

Insurance and Rates
We take BCBS, UHC, and Aetna insurances. However, not all of our therapists take the same insurances. You can find out what insurances a therapist takes by check the bottom of their bio page. All therapists set their own rate, with rates starting at $50 for our intern and going up to $165 for more experienced therapists.

If we do not take your insurance, we are happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement depending on your insurance plan's benefits.
Who are your clients?
We work with adults and adolescents ages 10 and up (depending on the therapist). Our clients frequently have a history of adverse life events (like abuse or trauma), dissociation, grief/loss, anxiety, problematic relationships with loved ones, a history of self-harming, or depression. Sometimes they find themselves falling into old habits or want to break free from destructive cycles they find themselves in. These problems are frequently inter-related and to resolve the primary problem that brings someone into counseling, we have to get to the root causes.

What will therapy be like?
We view therapy as a collaborative process. It will start with a thorough intake and then your therapist will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan based on your own unique needs and goals. During this process, your therapist will also discuss options for treatment modalities and explain what to expect as therapy progresses. Throughout your time in therapy, you have choice and say in what happens.
