Finding Solid Ground: New Group Staring in June!
Always looking to add more that will benefit our clients, Vivify Wellness has created a group based on the grounding breaking work of Bethany Brand, PhD. Finding Solid Ground is on its way to becoming an evidenced-based treatment for dissociative disorders.
Our 4-group series will focus heaving on grounding and time orientation skills in an experiential way as well as building self-compassion, emotional awareness and tolerance, and identifying trauma and thought patterns. This group is helpful for people who have experienced trauma, have a dissociative disorder or experience symptoms of dissociation, have anxiety, or need help finding ways to regulate their nervous system.
This in-person group is co-facilitated by clinical intern Marisa Edmonston, Laura Fontaine, MS, LISAC, LPC, and Landry Pebler, MS, LPC.
The group starts on Thursday 6/5/25 @ 6pm. We accept UHC, Aetna, and BCBS as well as self-pay. Space will be limited. Email vivifywellness@gmail.com to be added to save your spot in the group.

No Surprises Act - Good Faith Estimates
No Surprises Act - Good Faith Estimates
The federal government has enacted the "No Surprises Act" which began on 1/1/2022. This Act applies mostly to medical professionals and emergency settings but we lucky therapists have been included as healthcare providers. The Act is meant to prevent clients/patients from getting surprise medical bills from out-of-network providers. For example, if you go to the hospital for surgery, your surgeon might be in-network with your insurance but the anesthesiologist might not be and a few months after your surgery, a bill comes to cover the anesthesiologist's services.
While there are very few instances of this happening with therapists (in fact, I can't think of any time this might happen except in the case of insurance claim processing errors), therapists are being required to inform our clients of this Act and the "Good Faith Estimate". The Good Faith Estimate details the rates for services for clients who are not insured or not using their insurance and reminds them they could potentially save money by using an in-network provider. Eventually, Good Faith Estimates will be done for clients who are utilizing their insurance as well so stayed tuned for updates. Telehealth
Telehealth
Due to the success and popularity of teletherapy that we experienced during COVID, we at Vivify Wellness have decided to continue to offer teletherapy for those who prefer it. We have found that telehealth has provided flexibility and accessibility for people who might otherwise not be able to access quality, specialized, counseling services. We use Doxy.me and Zoom as the HIPAA-compliant online platforms to use for our sessions.
For clients using their insurance benefits, it is helpful to check with your insurance provider to ensure that telehealth services are covered by your plan. Please contact your insurance directly for the most accurate answer as to whether your insurance will cover teletherapy.
