Our Services

We know that for many people the choice to begin therapy was not a decision they entered into lightly, especially when they plan to work through their trauma. For some, it may even have been something they had been thinking about doing for years before they took that step of actually reaching out.

Vivify Wellness was born out of a desire to do things differently. Having come from the world of community mental health where services can be limited and therapists are encouraged to get clients in and out, we wanted to create a way to provide personalized therapy services in warm, inviting environment.

We believe people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity at all stages of their healing. At Vivify Wellness, we strive to give each client the type of attention and treatment that we would want for ourselves.

Coming to therapy can be nerve-wracking, whether it's your first day or whether you're six months in. We all do our best work when we feel comfortable.  From the moment you enter, our offices are designed intentionally to help people feel at ease, like they are sitting in a friend's living room. If people can feel a sense of comfort, they can let their guard down just a little bit, opening the door to do the difficult work of sorting through life's troubles.

Our therapists are trained to treat trauma and are sensitive to the way having experienced traumatic events affects people's nervous systems and beliefs about themselves. This specialized knowledge helps guide the work we do and the care we provide for our clients.

EFT

With decades of empirical research and clinical experience, EFT aims to help people (couples and individuals) understand and use their emotions to get what they need in their relationships and life. EFT focuses on the development of emotional intelligence, emotional competence, and helps people develop secure relationships. EFT helps people identify which of their emotions they can rely upon as adaptive guides and which of their emotions are residues of painful experiences and memories that have become maladaptive to the person’s current context and therefore may need to be shifted in order to build healthy selves and feel more able to confront life’s struggles, both as an individual and as a couple.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness has its roots in Buddhist meditation. It attempts to increase awareness of the mind and concentration. Studies suggest that focusing on the present can have a positive impact on health and well-being. Mindfulness-based treatments have been shown to reduce anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, and dissociative symptoms. There’s also evidence that mindfulness can lower blood pressure and improve sleep. It may even help people cope with pain. Mindfulness helps you develop the ability to stay grounded in the present and can help you “de-center” from distressing thoughts. Mindfulness is more than just meditation and developing a mindfulness practice in your daily life is especially beneficial and necessary to experience the long-term benefits of mindfulness.
